when i was going through a cd of pictures the other night, i found some new orleans shots and i just thought i'd share.
i think my favorite is the lucky dog man.

cat, where is that statue (the woman sitting with with her legs out)? i took a picture there with meghan and a bunch of scs girls on a field trip in junior high--we all posed with our legs out, ankles crossed. you might be with me, i can't remember. that picture is in our 7th or 8th grade yearbook, i don't know which one.
yay for updates! update more. i check the site constantly.
i found our 7th grade yearbook. it was in a box of stuff that i had saved from a cabinet downstairs that had been underwater. of course i found the picture. it must have been one of those "outbound" trips that fr. jimmy used to do for us. it was the day we got john lennon sunglasses from the flea market.
if you walk behind the cafe du monde in that untouched-very-european alleyway, past the cafe du monde, past that shop where they make pralines in the window, and past the next tshirt shop - there's the statue with the fountain.
i was thinking yesterday about those sunglasses. i think i still have them in a drawer in my bedroom.
